Get up and running with RedFox Tab Manager in just 5 minutes! This tutorial will guide you through creating your first custom product tab.

What You’ll Learn#

By the end of this tutorial, you’ll know how to:

  • Access the Tab Manager dashboard
  • Create a custom tab with Gutenberg blocks
  • Add the tab to your product pages
  • Preview your changes on the frontend

Step 1: Access Tab Manager#

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard
  2. Click on RedFox WP in the sidebar
  3. Select Tab Manager

You’ll see the Tab Manager dashboard with three default WooCommerce tabs already set up.

Step 2: View Your Global Tabs#

The Global Tabs screen shows all tabs that will appear on your product pages:

  • Description – The product description tab
  • Additional Information – Product specifications
  • Reviews – Customer reviews

These are WooCommerce default tabs. You can reorder them anytime.

Step 3: Create Your First Custom Tab#

Let’s create a tab with product shipping information. This is a two-step process:

Step 3.1: Go to Tab List#

  1. Click on Tab List in the left sidebar navigation
  2. This is where you create and save tabs that can be reused

Step 3.2: Create a New Tab#

  1. Click the Add New button at the top right
  2. You’ll be taken to the WordPress post editor

Step 3.3: Enter Tab Details#

In the editor:

  1. Tab Title: Enter “Shipping Information” in the title field
  2. Tab Content: Add your content using the WordPress block editor:
  3. Click Publish to save the tab

Step 4: Add Tab to Global Tabs#

Now let’s make this tab appear on all product pages:

Step 4.1: Return to Global Tabs#

  1. Click on Global Tabs in the left sidebar navigation
  2. You’ll see the default WooCommerce tabs

Step 4.2: Add Your Saved Tab#

  1. Scroll down to find the circular + (plus) button below the tab list
  2. Click the + button
  3. A modal will open with a dropdown
  4. Select “Shipping Information” from the dropdown
  5. Click Add

Your new tab will appear in the Global Tabs list!

Step 5: Organize Your Tabs#

After adding your tab, you can reorder it:

Reorder Tabs (Drag & Drop)#

  1. Hover over the tab item
  2. Click and hold the drag handle (⋮⋮ icon)
  3. Drag the tab up or down
  4. Release to drop it in the new position

Example Order:#

  1. Description
  2. Shipping Information (your new tab)
  3. Additional Information
  4. Reviews
  5. Click Save Changes button (top right) to save your changes

Step 6: Preview on Product Page#

Let’s see your new tab in action:

  1. Open any product page on your store
  2. Scroll to the product tabs section
  3. You’ll see your “Shipping Information” tab

Click on the tab to view the content you created!
